Joshua Waldron is a chief executive with over 20 years of expertise in driving growth acceleration, expansion, turnarounds, and operational excellence in start-ups, privately owned companies, and publicly traded corporations. His transformative business solutions have empowered enterprises to capitalize on opportunities and neutralize challenges while building organizational cultures where teams win and thrive.
Mr. Waldron is the Senior Director of Revenue at Angled Spade Technologies, where he leads key company ambitions that fuel top-line growth and new business. He founded the company’s lucrative business consulting division that multiplied revenue 25%. He also paved the way to transition the business from consulting to product development, developed the investment opportunity, and kicked off a preferred A round of equity raising.
Mr. Waldron envisioned and launched SilencerCo in 2008. Over the next ten years, he expanded the enterprise into an award-winning company with $70M in annual revenue, an average 28% EBITDA, market share domination, approximately $400K in equity raised, and greater than 90% employee retention. The company was named one of the 500 Fastest-Growing Companies in America for five consecutive years by Inc 500|5000. He also co-founded and served on the board of the American Suppressor Association and was recognized with its Hyrum Percy Maxim Award.
As he sought to apply his honed expertise to grow other companies, Mr. Waldron joined Vista Outdoor in 2018, as President of the Tactical Business Unit. On the heels of five prior years of losses, he restored brand equity and authenticity, sparked business expanssion into the government sector, and drove improvements across numerous functions. His efforts yielded 23% revenue growth and transformed the margin from negative to positive double digits.
In 2020, Mr. Waldron became the Interim CEO at Ball and Buck, challenged by the founder to turn the company around. In just a year, he doubled revenue and boosted profitability and operating efficiency. Key initiatives included organizational restructuring, SKU rationalization, a new product line, strategy revamps, and process improvements. He additionally navigated the company through the pandemic crisis period, positioning the company for financial sustainability. He transitioned to Angled Spade Technologies in 2023.
Besides serving on the board of the American Suppressor Association, other current and past board positions include those for Vanguard Landing and Ball and Buck.
